Vegetarion Traits
Your vegetarion character has certain traits deriving from being a plant.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 and your Wisdom score is increased by 1.
Age. Vegetarions have lifespans comparable to humans. They enter adulthood in their late teens and usually live less than a century.
Alignment. Most vegetarions consider themselves guardians of nature. Though they can be somewhat brutal in that role they tend toward lawful alignments.
Size. Vegetarions are taller than humans, generally standing between 6 and 7 feet tall and averaging almost 200 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Height
Weight
75 + 2d8"
200 + 4d10 lb.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Versatile Limb. Once per short or long rest a vegetarion can use a bonus action to reconfigure one arm into a natural weapon. The vegetarion has proficiency with the weapon which functions as a quarterstaff causing 1d6 bludgeoning damage. When combat ends, the sheaf turns to whole wheat dust.
  • Club
  • Grappler. You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature you are grappling.
  • Stretch. When you make a melee attack on your turn your reach is 5 feet greater than normal.
  • Entangler. You can use your action to try to restrain a creature grappled by you. To do so, make another grapple check. If you succeed, you and the creature are both restrained until the grapple ends.
Take Root. You don’t need to sleep. Instead, you meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. While meditating, you dream you are leaching nutrients out of rich soil on a sunny day. You gain the same benefit from this trance that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Become Woods. When you are in swampy or wooded areas you gain a +10 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks as long as you remain there without moving or taking actions. Once you move or take an action or a reaction the bonus is lost.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Rhododendron.
