DILUTED CLONE

So revered were the surviving heroes of The Great Pinniped War that scientist and wizards set out to ensure that their essence was preserved for future generations in the form of clones. Several generations later and that essence seems to have gone out of tune.

Your character is a cloned copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a storied hero from The Great Pinniped War. Lots of detail seems to have been lost in the process, as you've got a little less snap in your banter, a distant stare, and you might even seem a little blurry.

Languages: One of your choice.
Equipment: Weapons and equipment you receive from your class are period specific. Sometimes relics directly from The Great Pinniped War but more likely replicas. You have a collection of pins and medals (also replicas), a scroll summarizing the deeds of the hero from whom you were cloned, a handcrafted Great Pinniped War reenactor's uniform, and a belt pouch containing 18 gp.

Feature: Legacy
In spite of being watered down, your legendary ancestor is still the pride of the village or tribe. You and your adventuring companions can expect a warm reception whenever you encounter someone from your place of origin. If the resources exist, free food, shelter, and healing. You may also still have a residence being maintained there. While near your home you can call upon the residents for assistance, provided the assistance you ask for is not hazardous and you remain in good standing.

Suggested Characteristics 
Diluted clones carry some of the mannerisms, attitudes, and vague memories of their legendary ancestor, but they've also been shaped by formative years spent as the recipient of copious amounts of unearned adulation. The study of the History and tenets of their faith and their relationships to temples, shrines, or hierarchies affect their mannerisms and Ideals. Their flaws might be some hidden hypocrisy or heretical idea, or an ideal or bond taken to an extreme.
